Setting means bending teeth in sequence left-right-straight in relation to the saw body. Setting of gang saws for vertical frame machines is done according to left-right segment in relation to the saw body. A saw teeth must be set symmetrically, otherwise running problems may appear. Setting enhances cutting abilities of a saw and creates an inter-teeth gap which ensures regular and thorough elimination of sawdust from the cut wood rift.
Setting should begin at the height of 1/2 or 2/3 (depending on the kind of saw and the height of edge) of the cutting edge, looking top-to-bottom.
